FAQ

  • Is there a cost to attend this event?
No, this is a free event!
  • I would like to perform as a musical act, how can I do that? Or - my congregation/choir would like to perform.
We would love to have you! Please contact Christy Boyack at cboyack8@gmail.com or send us a message through this website.
  • I didn't register in time, can I still bring my nativity?
Absolutely! Please check the Master Schedule to see when we will be checking-in nativities. All are welcome!
  • What is the best day/time to attend?
The Nativity is busiest on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday late afternoon/evening. Mornings and early afternoon are the least busy.
  • Are children allowed?
Absolutely! Visitors of all ages are welcome. We have an entire section of nativities of particular interest to children--Legos, Harry Potter, puppets, nativity costumes, etc. We also have an I-spy style scavenger hunt that kids love! One note: since many of the nativities are fragile and irreplaceable, we ask that children be carefully supervised and reminded not to touch. There is no child care at this event.
  • Do I need to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to participate?
No, this is a multi-faith event. We welcome all, no matter your religion.
  • What is parking like?
There is a lot of parking and plenty of handicap parking. If you need assistance during the event to get to and from your car, we would be happy to assist.
  • How many nativities will be on display?
We hope to get around 500 or more!
  • What kind of security will be available at the event to watch my nativity?
On-site security will be at the church building 24/7 while nativities are in the building. No one is allowed to touch a nativity, other than the owner. Set-up of a nativity will only occur by the owner. There are thorough and expansive check-in and check-out procedures for all of the nativities.
  • How long will the check-in/check-out process take?
Please be patient and leave plenty of time to check-in and check-out your nativities. We are assuming that we will be very busy and we will do our very best to act speedily. Please make sure you have plenty of time in your day for this important process.
  • May I bring an inflatable nativity?
While we think those are awesome, and we love the way you celebrate, we can't accept those at this event ;-)
  • How can I get involved?
We would love to have your help! You can get involved by lending your nativity, helping with set-up or as a volunteer host. If you are part of a musical group that would like to perform, we'd love to hear from you. Email us anytime at albuquerquenorth@gmail.com for more information.
